Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Thanksgiving is all about having fun and expressing gratitude. Personally, I love Thanksgiving traditions: cooking, eating, exchanging reminiscences, and watching the Thanksgiving Day Parades. I admit I am not a football fan, but it is tradition to have a day of football starting around noon. Thanksgiving gives me the opportunity to show mu gratitude for friends, family and good health.
Anyway, I would like to share my favorite Cranberry Relish. It is actually more like a chutney. The nuts are crunchy, the whole berries pop in your mouth and the oranges cut the sweetness. It's just a great combination.
Perfect Cranberry Relish ~ Every Time
This is so easy...Only three ingredients..
1 Can of Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce (Please note, this does not taste as good with the jellied cranberry sauce)
1 Can of Mandarin Oranges (Drained)
1 Cup of Chopped Walnuts
Mix all together, Refrigerate overnight, YUM!
One of the joys of Thanksgiving is wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.
~Let me leave you with a quote from Erma Bombeck ~
"Thanksgiving Dinners take 18 hours to prepare. They are consumed in 12 minutes. Half Time is 12 minutes. This is not coincidence."
