Ring Spun

Many people wonder what the difference is between regular and ring-spun cotton T Shirts. The process for creating regular cotton and ring-spun cotton are totally different.

Regular cotton is made from soft vegetable fibers that are twisted together to make yarn, which is then woven to make material. Regular cotton is less expensive to make, which does make it a big seller.

Ring-spun cotton, on the other hand, is completely different. The term Ring-spun is used because of the process to manufacture this cotton. Ring spun cotton is made by twisting and thinning the cotton strands to make a very fine, long, strong, soft cotton fibers. The threads are compacted in a way that produces a strong and durable material. The cotton fibers are spun then combed through to remove any impurities. Fewer impurities mean a smoother surface to print on and maximum comfort. The design will be more crisp because of the smother surface. Ring-spun Cotton feels heavier to the touch than regular cotton, even though it isn't.

The result is that Ring-spun cotton is nicer, feels softer and lasts longer. Most users feel better in a ring-spun cotton T Shirts than regular cotton. Ring-spun cotton T Shirts will often be more durable and a regular T Shirt.
